Everyone knows (hopefully) that it's super important for our generation to start preparing for retirement NOW.
With that said, do you have a retirement account? Does your work provide you with one?
Any tips?

I've got a good 401k. My company matches whatever percentage I put in.

I know my boss has one... But I have not been there long enough to be vested... I am sure I will be let in on the specifics when the time comes...
But I am almost positive that nothing is taken out of my check... they just pay into it...
My health insurance is the same way... I do not pay for anything except co-pays.. and presciption costs...

What the hell kind of health insurance is that? Are you one of those low income single parents? Are you working a government job or something? I've never heard of somebody getting free health insurance.

I have profit sharing and my company contributes 5% of my gross annual salary into it. In addition we have a 401k that is employee contribution only.

Careful with 401K, you might get that letter saying "You're on track to retirement! When you're 40 you will have over a million dollars!" think about it, twenty years from now you think to live... it will be cheaper? A million dollars might not even mean that much.

My company allows you to cash out your 401k. My hope is that I find a new and better job eventually and I can cash out my 401k and invest it to where it will accrue at a higher percentage. :)

Whats the highest your 401 agent will let you take as a percentage? Highest I can go is 15% with John Handcock. Most of which targets the stock market.

I deposit 10% of my earnings and they match.
