Do any of you geeks on here have a CCNA, CCNP, or MCSE? If so, can you recommend study materials?
mcse is retarded and a waste of money. though your employer might like it if you are a n00b.

So why did you select those courses? The MSCE requires certain courses and are pretty intense in Active Directory and DNS. Cisco is a rip off from unix so I don't use them. You'd have to purchase a router to use their IOS because the emulation software blows balls when it comes to test time.
Certifications are nice but like nick said it's just eye candy for the employer. You can't do shit with windows, even 2008 blows. I think you'd be better off putting your intellect into something like linux or unix, create a project site with what you have accomplished.
I have my MSCE+ but it expires this year and I'm not going to get another... if it is what you want to do then I hope this can help you as it helped me.

Just for the record - it's not for me. My goal is to become a licensed Architect which is totally unrelated.
It seems that a lot of the IT / Networking jobs here want certifications ranging from CCNA to MCSE. I was trying to help someone out by finding books they could study so that they may pass the exams.
